"The congress-exhibition of the SIM will be held in October 2019 at the Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Exhibition Center, in the magnificent hall of the South of France Arena. Located in front of the airport, 5 km from the seaside, the site is served from the city center and the train station by a direct tram line and also offers a 2000 parking space.
Montpellier offers an urban and demographic urbanism among the most important in France for several decades now. Since the creation of the new district Antigone in the 1990s, the city has developed several new neighborhoods that have changed the face, and induces a significant consumption of building materials. Traditional route of passage along the Mediterranean arc, Languedoc also hosts major infrastructure projects, such as the recent doubling of the highway to the right of Montpellier and the new high-speed line.
The location of the exhibition congress of the SIM in Montpellier will allow privileged access to construction and building materials companies of the entire Mediterranean arc, which, from Bordeaux to Toulouse, Marseille, Aix, Cannes and Nice, face major development needs in a demanding environment and land use density context.
On the economic front, Montpellier, located in the heart of the important Languedoc wine region, has developed agronomic skills in its international cluster Agropolis; it has been able to highlight the medieval origins of its medical university to become a benchmark in this field thanks to the health cluster Eurobiomed, and, under the label French Tech Montpellier, it encourages the development of start-ups of new technologies, especially digital. Lastly, it welcomes several wind and solar power companies that build and manage production sites (including on former sites of the extractive industry) in the region, throughout France and abroad.
Exhibitors, providers of technological solutions and innovative services, Montpellier promises to be a privileged place for your business meetings at the SIM Congress.
We will be happy to welcome you there! "
